Riovida the Ultimate health beverage!
First, Riovida is absolutely delicious! You have to taste it to believe
it. Riovida is the creation of some of the world's greatest scientists.
These world-renowned scientists have proven themselves through a number of
exclusive and patented discoveries. Riovida is the next logical step in a
product strategy that has been unfolding since 1998. Riovida is packed
full of a number of nutrients such as transfer factors, vitamins,
minerals, amino acids, fiber, omegas, phytosterols, anthocyanins,
flavanoids, lactoferrin, carotenoids, polyphenols, tannins, isoflavones
and more.
4Life Research has been the leader in the MLM
industry in nutritional science since 1998. In 1998, 4Life introduced to
the world a nutrient that represents a complete new category of nutrition.
Transfer Factor is the flagship nutrient in Riovida. This nutrient has
been progressing through various stages of research for more than 50
years. More than 40 million dollars was invested into researching transfer
factors and more than 3,500 studies have been written on it. Only
recently, has technology advanced to a degree that transfer factors could
be commercially available to the public.
How is Riovida Different?
If a product is promoted honestly and the product has real value in the
market place of competition, then the consumer response to the product
will produce long-term success.
Generally, new products on the market contain
just another nutrient similar to other nutrients already on the market.
The function of these newly commercialized nutrients are similar to other
nutrients already saturating our industry. In network marketing,
introducing a nutrient that the public isn't well informed with, can
create excitement for awhile. Once the public learns that the nutrient is
just another herb or phytonutrient among many that do the same things,
attrition is the result.
For example, the nutrient Xanthones found in the mangosteen fruit is
promoted for its anti-inflammatory properties. Xanthones are promoted for
their ability to inhibit the COX-2 enzyme that causes inflammation. There
are literally dozens of other phytonutrients that fight inflammation,
inhibit the COX-2 enzyme, and some do it better, such as the curcumin,
nettle leaf, ginger root, boswella, DHA fatty acid (fish oil), GLA (gamma
linolenic acid) and even vitamin E.
Your body uses inflammation as a weapon in
its fight to keep you well. Inflammation is good when it is controlled
properly. There are a number of body enzymes and body chemicals that can
create inflammation such as:
TNF-a tumor necrosis factor-alpha
IL-6 interleukin-6
IL-1(b) interleukin-1 beta
IL-8 interleukin-8
Lipoxygenase
Nutrients
like Xanthones, control inflammation by inhibiting it. Riovida contains
transfer factors by both inhibiting certain factors and regulating several
others. Transfer factors will allow useful inflammation to do its job
while down-regulating harmful inflammation. As you can see there is a
major difference.
Riovida is different than any other health beverage. Riovida contains
certain nutrients that perform certain functions that no other nutrient
can do. Riovida not only contains the best antioxidants and nutrients on
the market but contains a one-of-a-kind nutrient, transfer factor.
Transfer factor is the flagship ingredient in Riovida. Transfer factor
isn't a vitamin, mineral, amino acid, phytonutrient or any known nutrient.
We only call it a nutrient for lack of a better word. Transfer factors are
unlike any known nutrient.
Government Agency recommends to Hospitals
and Doctors
4Life's™
Transfer Factor is the only nutritional product that a government agency
has recommended to be used on patients in hospitals, by doctors. After ten
clinical studies on actual patients, the Russian Ministry of Health (like
the FDA in the USA ) sent a 32-page report to hospitals and doctors in
Russia, encouraging the use of Transfer Factor for patients.
In one of these studies involving actual patients, two groups were with
individuals suffering from hepatitis C were studied. One group was given
interferon and the other 4Life's Transfer Factor. Treatment with
interferon can cost up to $15,000 per year. Transfer Factor performed in
only two weeks as well as interferon did in three months. Other studies
involved patients with AID’s, skin conditions and blood infections, etc.
The doctors and scientists were astounded at the performance of Transfer
Factor. These independent scientists made the statement, that no other
nutritional product in the world can do what Transfer Factor can do.
Regulate your health Transfer factors are regulators of your health. You
already have transfer factors in your body. These transfer factors
regulate a great number of other immune system cells and body chemicals.
Transfer factors also regulate the body’s production of antioxidants.
Transfer factors are involved in or influence a number of body functions
and processes, such as; the immune system, detoxification, cellular
rejuvenation, anti-oxidation and the aging process.
Transfer factors store information and use that information to regulate
your health. Transfer factors use amino acids to store this information.
The amino acids change sequences like the alphabet. Think about how many
words twenty-six letters of the alphabet can spell. There are 44 amino
acids in a transfer factor.
An example of how transfer factor works can be observed when you come in
contact with a chicken pox germ. The first time you come in contact with
the chicken pox germ, you develop chicken pox. Throughout your life, you
come in contact with the chicken pox germ again and again but only develop
the chicken pox disease once. Why?
A Transfer factor is like a little brain
Transfer factors are like little brains floating throughout your body.
Transfer factors store information about the characteristics of the
chicken pox germ. When the germ re-enters the body, transfer factors
recognize these germs and communicate to other immune system cells to kill
the germ.
Because of this, you don't develop chicken pox a second time.
Everyday your body develops mutated cells, which if not destroyed, develop
into cancer cells. How does the body recognize these mutations? Transfer
factors are involved in the recognition process and signal killer cells to
destroy the mutated cells.
I will share another example of how transfer factors work. Harmless
particles enter and pass through your body everyday. Sometimes your immune
system doesn't properly recognize these particles, such as pollen, dust
etc., as harmless and in turn reacts to them as if they are harmful. The
result is allergies. Transfer factors are involved in regulating this
process. When transfer factors in your body do their job, your immune
system will recognize the harmless particles for what they are and will
not react to them, letting them pass through your body.
Riovida is packed full of antioxidants with one of the highest ORAC values
in the industry. Antioxidants are very important in our battle against
disease and pre-mature aging. There are other good products on the market
along with Riovida that provide a rich mixture of antioxidants. However,
only Riovida contains transfer factors, which regulate the body's
production of antioxidants.
This is a very important factor in our battle against pre-mature aging and
disease. Antioxidants that are consumed must make their way through a
dysfunctional digestive system, through a clogged circulatory system,
through collapsed capillaries and through cell membranes that are
hardening.
Transfer factors increase the actual production of natural antioxidants
from within the cell. This is a key to staying well and younger,
functionally. Within the cell is mitochondria. Mitochondria are small
factors that produce cellular energy that allows each cell, gland, organ,
etc. to do their jobs. The mitochondria process, manufactures energy, as a
byproduct, creating millions of free radicals. Free radicals damage cells.
Increasing the production of antioxidants from within the cells, assures
us that we are experiencing the greatest possible protection.

Açaí juice (ah-sigh-ee)
The Açaí berry was selected as one of the
ingredients in our Riovida formulation because it is one of the world's
richest sources of nutrition and antioxidants. The Acai berry can only be
found in the Amazon Rain Forest. For centuries, the indigenous people of
Brazil 's Northern Amazon region have revered this legendary berry as a
source of healing for numerous ailments. It has been referred to as the
“fruit of the Gods,” because of its healing properties.
Modern Science has now validated the remarkable wellness benefits of the
Açaí fruit. Recently, TV's Oprah Winfrey hired the best nutritionists that
money can buy. This nutritionist, Dr. Nicholas Perricone, rated the Açaí
berry as the #1 super food in the world.
Açaí berry is also known to have the following effects: Anti-inflammatory,
anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, anti-mutagenic, and cardiovascular system.
Delivers great energy
Provides better sleep
Improved digestion
Improved Mental Focus
The Açaí has more proteins then an
average egg
The Açaí berry has essential minerals
such as iron, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, vitamin B1 (Thiamin),
vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), vitamin B3 (Niacin), vitamin C, and vitamin E. It
is much like consuming a multi-vitamin.
Improved sexual function
The Açaí berry has been shown to have
up to 33 times the Anthocyanins than red wine grapes.
The primary anthocyaninin. Açaí is
cyanidin-3 glucoside , Cyanidin-3- glucoside has been found to be 3.5
times stronger than Trolox (vitamin E analogue) and the predominate
anthocyanin found in red wine (nalvadin-3-glucoside) in an ORAC analysis
(measure of antioxidant capacity).
Anthocyanins have been found to
"exhibit numerous potential therapeutic effects including treatment of
diabetic retinopathy and fibrocystic disease of the breast in humans.".
"Other potential physiological effects of anthocyanins include radiation
protective, chemoprotective, vasoprotective and anti-inflammatory agents."
The Açaí berry has high levels of fiber
that are good for colon health and healthy glucose levels.
The Açaí has two essential fatty acids
known as Omega 6 (Linoleic acid) and Omega 9 (Oleic acid). Research shows
that these fatty acids maintain normal cholesterol levels.
The Açaí contains a rich source of
antioxidants that help keep the arterial lining flexible and reduce the
oxidation of cholesterol which is important for better blood circulation
and a healthy cardio vascular system.
An almost perfect essential amino acid
complex in conjunction with valuable trace minerals, vital to proper
muscle contractions and regeneration.
Very low Sugar content for a fruit
Cleansing and Detoxing your body
Boost your Immune System
The fatty acid ratio of the Acai berry
resembles that of olive oil, which is thought to be a contributing factor
to the low incidence of heart disease in Mediterranean populations.
Recently, scientists found the fatty acids in olive oil may stop the
expression of a gene that causes breast cancer.
60% Oleic (Omega 9) a monounsaturated,
essential fatty acid, helps lower LDL (harmful cholesterol) while
maintaining HDL, (beneficial cholesterol) levels . 12% Linoleic (Omega 6)
a polyunsaturated, essential fatty acid, has been found to lower both LDL
and manage HDL levels.
Fatty acids aid in the transport and
absorption of fat-soluble vitamins ie, Vitamins A, E, D, and K
Contains Plant Sterols which are
components of plant cell membranes providing numerous benefits to the
human body, namely the reduction of blood plasma cholesterol. Sterols are
currently being used to treat symptoms associated with BP.

Elderberry
The Elderberry extract has traditionally been
used topically for infections, inflammations of the skin and swelling. The
action of Elderberry extract is that it prevents viral hemaglutinin or the
process of invading cells using their spike-like projections to introduce
its enzyme into healthy cell membranes. The viral enzyme is also
neutralized in the presence of elderberry extract.
It can be made into tea and has traditionally been used to soothe sore
throats, and make a person feel much better when he is suffering from the
cold or flu conditions, and relieves respiratory distress. The flowers are
infused for fevers, eruptive skin conditions such as measles and severe
bronchial and lung problems. Elderberry tips tone the mucous linings of
the nose and throat, increasing their resistance to infections. They are
often prescribed for chronic congestion, allergies, ear infections and
candidiasis Elder flowers are a mild astringent and used to help relieve
the symptoms of eczema, psoriasis and acne. These berries also have
laxative and diuretic properties. Elder berries contain a considerable
amount of vitamins A, B and C and one of the richest sources of
anthocyanins.
Anthocyanins stimulate the body's immune response by promoting the
production of lymphocytes that act as a second line of defense against
foreign cells. The berries also contain flavanoids, tannins, carotenoids
and amino acids which assist in relief from sore throats and the common
cold. Flavonoids, including quercetin, are believed to account for the
therapeutic actions of the elderberry flowers and berries.
These flavanoids include anthocyanins that are powerful antioxidants and
protect cells against damage, according to test tube studies. According to
laboratory research, an extract from the leaves, combined, inhibits the
influenza virus and herpes simplex virus. The effect on influenza by syrup
made from the berries of the black elderberry has been studied in a small
double-blind trial. People receiving an elderberry extract (2 tablespoon
[30 ml] per day for children, 4 tablespoons, ([60 ml] per day for adults)
appeared to recover faster than did those receiving a placebo. Animal
studies have shown the flowers to have anti-inflammatory properties. These
actions have not been verified in human clinical trials.

Blueberries
Blueberries have 2,400 numerous vitamins,
antioxidants, minerals. Blueberries are associated with various health
benefits including protection against urinary-tract infections, cancer,
age-related health conditions, earth disease and brain damage from
strokes, yet current per capita consumption is just four cups a year, an
amount that is just one-sixth the amount of strawberries consumed.
In a previous study on lab rats, old rats fed a diet rich in blueberries
grew neurons, which means the blueberries may play a role in reversing
age-related short-term memory loss. While the results haven’t been
replicated in human trials, another study on lab rats is further
investigating the effects of blueberries.

Pomegranate
Research shows that daily consumption of the
antioxidants in Pomegranate Juice may offer:
Heart Health- Studies in laboratory mice have
show that consumption of Pomegranate Juice reduced the buildup of plaque
in the lining of the inner artery. In fact,it reduced the size of
atheroscleroticlesions by 44% - Aviram, M. et al,American Journal of
Clinical Nutrition 2000, 71:1062 Reduction of LDL (bad) Cholesterol -
Studies in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition have shown that the
antioxidants found in Pomegranates reduce the LDLoxidation in mice, and
help to lower blood pressure in hypertensive humans.
Neutralize Free Radicals - Pomegranates contain antioxidants like
Polyphenol. Antioxidants help repair damage done to the body's cells by
Free Radicals, (unstable oxygen molecules associated with cancer, heart
disease and the effects of aging).
WASHINGTON --Pomegranate juice showed cardiovascular benefits in both
laboratory mice and in cultured human coronary artery endothelial cells,
according to a study published March 21, online ahead of print, in
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (www.pnas.org). The
scientists reported antioxidant-rich pomegranate juice reduced progression
of atherosclerosis by at least 30 percent in mice who were bred to have
high cholesterol. Similarly, the cultured heart cells treated with the
juice had a 50-percent increase in nitric oxide production, which helps
blood vessels relax.

Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin is a minor glycoprotein component
of whey. It belongs to the iron transporter or transferrin family of
glycoproteins.Lactoferrin is also found in exocrime secretions from
mammals and is released from neutrophil granules during inflammation. The
lactoferrin concentration in bovine (cows) milk is only 0.5% to 1.0% while
human breast milk can contain as much as 15% lactoferrin.
Lactoferrin plays several important roles in
human biology. First, Lactoferrin is believed to play a role in the uptake
and absorption of iron through the intestinal mucosa. It may be the
primary or sole source of iron for breast fed infants. Second, Lactoferrin
appears to have antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory,
antioxidant and immunomodulatory activities.
How
Lactoferrin Works
Receptors for lactoferrin are found in monocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils,
intestinal tissue and one certain bacteria. Lactoferrins ability to bind
iron may account for some of its anti-bacterial activity. Iron is
essential to support the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Lactoferrin may
also inhibit the attachment of bacteria to the intestinal wall.
The possible antiviral activity of supplemental lactoferrin may be due to
its inhibition of virus-cell fusion and viral entry into cells. It is
believed that Lactoferrin may promote the growth and differentiation of T
lymphocytes. Lactoferrin appears to bind uniquely to sites on the T4
(helper) and T8 (suppressor) lymphocytes. Lactoferrin also appears to play
a role in the regulation of cytokines and lymphokines, such as tumor
necrosis (TNF)-alpha and interleukin (IL)-6.
Lactoferrin's possible antioxidant activity may also contribute to its
possible immunomodulatory activity. Antioxidants are getting increasing
attention as possible therapeutic agents in infections and a variety of
other diseases. Lactoferrin's ability to bind iron probably contributes to
both its antioxidant properties and its antibacterial action. Free iron is
a contributor in the generation of free radicals.
Lactoferrin Research Summary
Lactoferrin, a natural occurring cytokine in the human body, has exhibited
significant activity against Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis,
Staphyloccocus aureus, Candida albicans, HIV, herpes simplex type 1,
hepatitis C, cytomegalovirus and other pathogens in vitro (in a lab dish)
studies. Human studies, however, are almost entirely lacking.

Grape Juice
Grapes contain beneficial compounds called
flavonoids, which are phytochemicals that give the vibrant purple color to
grapes, grape juice and red wine; the stronger the color, the higher the
concentration of flavonoids. These flavonoid compounds as well as a second
flavonoid-type compound (falling into the chemical category of stilbenes),
Both compounds appear to decrease the risk of heart disease by:
Reducing platelet clumping and harmful blood
clots
Protecting LDL cholesterol from the free
radical damage that initiates LDL's artery-damaging actions.
In a study in which blood samples were drawn
from 20 healthy volunteers both before and after they drank grape juice,
researchers found several beneficial effects from their juice consumption.
First, an increase occurred in levels of nitric oxide, a compound produced
in the body that helps reduce the formation of clots in blood vessels.
Second, a decrease occurred in platelet aggregation, or blood clotting, by
red blood cells. Lastly, researchers saw an increase in levels of alpha-tocopherol,
an antioxidant compound that is a member of the same family to which
vitamin E belongs, and this increase was accompanied by a 50% increase in
plasma antioxidant activity.
These findings confirmed the benefits found in an earlier study, where
researchers found not only an increase in blood antioxidant activity, but
also discovered that grape juice protected LDL cholesterol from oxidation,
which turns LDL into an artery-damaging molecule. (Although LDL is often
called the "bad" form of cholesterol, it is actually benign and only
becomes harmful after it is damaged by free radicals or "oxidized.")
Additionally, investigators have found that phenolic compounds in grape
skins inhibit protein tyrosine kinases, a group of enzymes that play a key
role in cell regulation. Compounds that inhibit these enzymes also
suppress the production of a protein that causes blood vessels to
constrict, thus reducing the flow of oxygen to the heart. This protein,
called endothelin-1, is thought to be a key contributing agent in the
development of heart disease.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a white,
crystalline, water-soluble substance found in citrus fruits and green
vegetables. As an antioxidant, vitamin C scavenges free radicals in the
body and protects tissues from oxidative stress. Vitamin C also promotes
the absorption of iron, while preventing its oxidation. Vitamin C is a
vital cofactor to the formation of collagen, the connective tissue that
supports arterial walls, skin, bones, and teeth. More vitamin C is
contained in the adrenal glands than any other organ in the body and is
required at higher levels during times of stress. Physical stresses on the
body such as ingestion of heavy metals. cigarette smoking, infections,
extreme temperatures, and chronic use of certain medications such as
aspirin also signal the need for increased intake of vitamin C.
Ascorbic acid is one of the important and essential vitamins for human
health. It is a water soluble vitamin. Most plants and animals synthesize
ascorbic acid for their own requirement. However, apes and humans can not
synthesize ascorbic acid due to lack of an enzyme gulonolactone oxidase.
Hence, ascorbic acid has to be supplemented mainly through fruits,
vegetables and tablets.
Stress, smoking, infections and burns deplete the ascorbic acid reserves
in the body and demands higher doses of ascorbic acid supplementation.
Based on available biochemical, clinical and epidemiological studies, the
current RDA for ascorbic acid is suggested to be 100–120 mg/day to achieve
cellular saturation and optimum risk reduction of heart diseases, stroke
and cancer in healthy individuals. In view of its antioxidant property,
ascorbic acid and its derivatives are widely used as preservatives in food
industry. Many health benefits have been attributed to ascorbic acid
namely antioxidant, anti-atherogenic and anti-carcinogenic activity.
